Structuring a clients nutrition can be one of the most impactful things you can do for them, but with that can come some challenges that will require you to coach a client through.

Nutritional changes alone can improve a clients energy, increase important nutrient intake, decrease inflammation and rebalance many systems that need attention. These nutritional changes can be implement through an exact meal plan that you have designed or structuring macronutrient ratios for a client to follow or even starting with removing inflammatory foods only.

As a coach, it would be ideal if you presented a client with nutritional changes and they took the plan and implemented it with ease. If you have done nutritional work with clients, you will know that this just isn’t the case with all clients. There is a percentage of clients who are able to take any plan and run with it, but many others will need your support and coaching.

Compliance with nutritional plans rarely fail because of the information presented, but usually lies in the coaching around habit and lifestyle changes. If a client has never been on a structured nutritional regimen and are use to choosing food and meals on the go or in the moment, you will need to coach them to success.

Most plans fail because of lack of preparation with food, having a busy schedule and poor planning. This is where your coaching comes in.
