Before calories start getting slashed it’s important to remove foods that cause inflammation.

Say you cut your finger, the immune system will send healing fluids and white blood cells to the site for repair and create swelling/inflammation of the tissue due to this response. This irritation will cause an immune response and inflammation of the tissues to promote healing, much like the finger cut example. With this example of food, if the irritation factor is consistently consumed and not removed, the inflammation will stay chronic. Chronic inflammation is the #1 factor in disease promotion and stubborn weight loss.
Remember, inflammation is a stress response and if the body is chronically under stress its main concern is not fat loss or operating in a vital state. The body is focused on healing.
