If you google: ‘is meat good for me?’
You will most likely find hundreds of thousands differing opinions, debates and confusing information.
In this episode Ken & Sara talk about the importance of having high quality meat in a diet but also when there can be symptoms that the body is expressing, telling us not to eat meat. There is rarely a black and white answer to anything when it comes to the individual bodies that we have and all the variables happening to each of us on any given day. Our role as coaches is to gather as much information as possible about a client and their symptoms, in order to make the best decision.
Meat has numerous benefits to the body when it is functioning optimally. On the other hand, if the body is stressed and if the digestion system is showing signs of not working properly, eliminating meat for a short period of time has huge benefits for healing.
Meat is an extremely dense substance for our body to break down; which requires a fully fired up digestive system. If meat is not being digested properly this can cause the substance to be only partially digested, resulting in purification within the intestines, stress on the liver and backed up bowels.
In this episode Ken explains the warning signs and symptoms that can indicate removal of meat and implementation of a GREEN DAY to give the digestive system a break, an increase in micronutrients and flushing of the bowels.
In most cases the body needs a fluid approach to health and healing, not strict containers that we must live in day in and day out. Yes, meat is beneficial, but not in all cases and we must learn to work with the body as a whole, in every moment, with what its reactions/symptoms are telling us.
