Macros are an easy for many coaches to guide people to their fitness and physique goals. But for many clients, there is a gap between what the numbers say and what their body tells them. Showing up as a lack of sustainable results. Or other symptomology they don’t want to experience. Like, thyroid issues, hormone shifts, sleep changes and more.

Truly understanding the importance of GREAT digestion is the missing link. No macro system can last forever without it. The yo-yo answers of walking 1 milli steps a day, or eating less than your child, or relying on gum and stimulants eventually get old. And the body adapts and shifts. If it does keep working then fine. But if you are reading this right now, chances are…macros in your 40s, 50s or 60s ISN’T working anymore.

Taking the steps to work on digestion first is never a bad thing. Absorption of nutrients is better. Processing of food is easier without things like indigestion or bloating. Even expelling waste regularly and efficiently happens in a frequency that is necessary. Overall it just allows you to eat the RIGHT amount of food. As many of my students find that their clients don’t need to be in a caloric deficit to get leaner or in better shape.

In this episode of The Stress-Reduced Fat Loss™ Podcast, I speak about how if great digestion is overlooked, counting macros can take a turn for the worst.
